The Bahamas Judicial Education Institute (BJEI) was established to fulfill the increasing need for education and training of judicial officers and their staff so as to enhance the delivery of justice in The Bahamas.

The BJEI is mandated to provide structured, judiciary specific programs throughout the course of the legal year for the judiciary.

Leadership's commitment to judicial education

The BJEI is headed by the Chief Justice Brian Moree QC and managed by a Board of Directors selected by the Chief Justice.

The current Board Members are Justice Ian R. Winder (Chairman), Justice Deborah Fraser, Justice Cheryl Grant Thompson, Justice Keith Thompson, Registrar Camille Darville-Gomez, Magistrate Ancella Evans and Nicoya Neilly (Administrator).
